Dear Bulls Community,
Following the Federal Government’s announcement yesterday regarding social gathering venues (including the closure of all indoor sports facilities), sadly we have no alternative but to cease basketball operations immediately. There will be no access to our courts. Please read carefully below on how this may affect you.
Local Competitions
As was already the case, all Junior Local competitions are suspended indefinitely. More information regarding possible rescheduling, replanning and/or refunds will soon follow. The first update will be issued April 1st, 2020 and will become ongoing as things become clearer.
Monday Night Men’s competition is cancelled, the season concluding as is, with no winner determined. New Men’s competitions will be launched on Monday and Sunday night when appropriate and plausible to do so.
Casual Bookings
All Casual court hire bookings are being immediately ceased. For payments that have been made in advance, please contact the club to arrange a refund. NO new bookings will be accepted for the foreseeable future. Existing bookings will be given priority to their current times when we return.
Representative Basketball
Along with the postponement of the representative basketball season by Basketball New South Wales, all rep teams will cease formal training effective immediately. Players are encouraged to maintain their own individual training where circumstances allow them to do so in a safe environment.
It is disappointing that we have been forced to this point and is something that we, along with all sporting organisations across Australia, are extremely saddened by. We appreciate everyone’s patience, compassion and understanding as the club navigates its way through this world crisis. We have every intention to return back to normal over time and to continue growing this outstanding community. We wish everyone good health and remind you all to stay safe and follow the guidelines from government and health authorities, this includes only leaving home when necessary, practicing social distancing when in public and maintaining good hygiene practices.
